About the congress:

What is the difference between Pre-Congress and Congress?

During the Pre-Congress (November 18 and 19), you can access courses taught by specialists in the areas of Management, Veterinary Medicine, Systematic and Taxonomy, and Biotechnology.

On the other hand, during the Congress (November 20, 21 and 22), you can attend keynote talks, symposia and oral exhibitions where the speakers will share their knowledge and advances in the field of herpetology.

Do I have to attend to the Pre-Congress courses to access to the Congress?

No, you can chose to attend to the pre-congress courses, to the congress or both.


What does the registration include?

Pre-Congress Courses: access to all courses which are taught on November 18 and 19, materials and supplies, participation kit, attendance certificate.  

Congress: access to lectures, symposia, oral presentation, poster presentation, participation kit, attendance certificate.

How to make the payment?

If you are in Ecuador: the platform allows you to chose the payment method between deposit/tranfer or cash. If you like to pay by card, you have to select the cash option.  From that moment you have 72 hours to come to our facilities to make the payment (Amazonas N34-12 y Rumipamba, parque La Carolina).

If you are in other country: the platform allows you to chose the payment method between deposit/tranfer and cash, you have to select the cash option. Once the process have finished, send to us an email to  info@congresoherpetologiaecuador.com with the subject OUTDOOR PAYMENT.  We will extend you a direct credit and you can pay directly in our facilities the day of the event.  To save your quota, you must send to us the copy of your plane tickect 15 days before the event.

I just graduated, can I access to the student price?

No, if you own your college degree, you must pay the professional price. On the other hand, if you are graduated or you are in the process of graduating, you can access to the student price. 


I'm in other country, which airport should I arrive at?

You must arrive at Mariscal Sucre Airport, which is in Quito. The airport is ubicated approximaly 50 minutes from the city.

What currency is used?

The currency used in Ecuador is the US dolLar. We recommend you to check the current exchange rates and to check about the exchange options.


How many scholarships will be awarded?

  Dedicated to students and professionals from all over the region, we will deliver 10 scholarships to present papers in oral mode or printed poster.

What does the scholarship cover?

 It is important that you take into account that the scholarships cover enrollment on November 20, 21 and 22, 2019, participation kit and diploma. (* Does not include air ticket, lodging and food costs).

Until when will the applications to receive the scholarship be received?

Submissions will be received until September 4, 2019 at 12:00 (GMT -5).
